Every summer I get that Grease the movie song stuck in my head. Summer loving have me a blast...summer loving happened so fast. The dog days of summer are finally here! Hopefully, much of our precious vacation time will be well spent by the pool or on a sandy beach chilling out with the perfect book.
You might be asking yourself, 'What DO I read?' or 'What am I in the mood for?' These are the questions that pop up every summery season as we are so reading ready to find that perfect novel and just relax. Like cracking open a beer and sitting in a comfy chair we book lovers want to open a fresh novel lay out in the sun and start a new bookish adventure.
Okay, so what do you consider an awesome summer read? Are you into a outdoorsy, newly released novel like Wild by Cheryl Strayed? or maybe a challenging classic that is over a thousand pages long that will take you all summer to finish such as War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy? Maybe a sizzling romance on a tropical island but this novel has a twist. Check out, On The Island by Trace Garvis Graves.
Whatever your reading tastes may be for this hot season below are a few book ideas that you can take to the beach, on an flight to your holiday destination or just sitting around the backyard pool under a stripped umbrella. With any luck, by the end of your summer, you will be singing the finish of Grease's Summer Nights...Summer dreams, ripped at the seams. Bu-ut oh, those summer nights!
